Metagraphics MetaWINDOW Year 2000 Compliance

MetaWINDOW is Year 2000 Compliant!

MetaWINDOW graphics system Version 5.0* and later includes no time or date dependent functions that could be affected by a Year 2000 problem. All MetaWINDOW event-queue timer variables are based on relative clock ticks that are not affected by the current date or time, and which will operate properly into year 2000 and beyond. Any issues related to a year 2000 problem would be found in the upper level application code developed separately on top of MetaWINDOW. Application developers will need to independently validate their programs for full year 2000 compliance.

NOTE 1 - While MetaWINDOW Version 5.0 itself is Year 2000 compliant, Metagraphics can not validate Year 2000 compliance for third-party application products developed in part using our software tools. Please contact the originating application developer to verify Year 2000 application compliance for programs developed by independent third-party companies.

NOTE 2 - *MetaWINDOW releases prior to Version 5.0 have not been tested for year 2000 compliance and are not officially certified as Year 2000 Compliant. It is recommended that developers using older MetaWINDOW releases 1.x through 4.x upgrade to MetaWINDOW Version 5.0 for year 2000 compliance. (MetaWINDOW Version 5.0 upgrade pricing and ordering details for MetaWINDOW v3 and v4 users is available online at: http://www.metagraphics.com/metawindow/ordermwu.htm.)
